This 1962 Thunderbird Convertible has a 390 V-8 engine, SelectAire Conditioner, power windows, power drivers seat, fender shields and a black convertible top. It has a tonneau cover and a passenger grab handle to make it appear to be a Sports Roadster. The car is also being sold with an original 1962 Sports Roadster (RN 49844) build sheet, which the owner states came with the documents on the car. As of July, 2013 it was for sale on ebay and located in Santa Monica, California. UPDATE September 2013, Larry Herpel notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird. He says: I purchased this car in Santa Monica, CA. in July 2013. It originally was sold by Golden Motors Inc. Golden, Colorado and has 5 traceable owners. I have a copy of original invoice from dealer. It was originally equipped with Leather Bolster & Inserts, wsw tires, power windows, power driver's seat, SelectAire COnditioner, radio and tinted glass. Gross Total $5848.00 - - - - - - UPDATE August 2024, Norman Richmond notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird. He says: I, a friend of Larry Herpel, purchased the car from his estate after his passing in December of 2020 in Austin, Texas. The car remains in central Texas and has had a transmission rebuild and the engine out service. It still drives like an absolute dream. (picture updated)
