Alfred H. Green
Alfred H. Green says: I am the third owner of my red/black/white '62 Thunderbird, with aftermarket M code engine. The original owner was a Californian doctor and ran the car on Sunday's. He owned it for eighteen years. Upon his death, he left the vehicle to his son, also a doctor. The son never registered the vehicle and it went into storage for several years. After that period and great neglect, he sold it to the man I bought it from. The car then was shipped to Utah where a complete restoration was done. After several more years of showing that gentlemen put the car in his garage and left it there for eight years. When he needed the space and some $ to buy an RV he sold it to me in November, 2003. The car was put back into running condition before I purchased it. After doing some work myself, I believe the vehicle is a solid #2 condition. It has a tripower engine all dressed up,the paint is super (very minor dinks)all mechanicals are in near original order. The carbs were replaced recently, as there was warping due to the lenghty storages. Because I live in the North East, the car never sees temperatures below 50 degrees. I don't believe in driving it in rain either. I am very proud of my Bird! Thanks. - - - - - - - - As of October, 2003 it was in West Jordan, Utah. - - - - UPDTE September 2017, New York State DMV registration is current in Westchester County.
