This is a 1962 Thunderbird Sports Roadster. It is Rangoon Red (J) with a red leather interior (85). It was scheduled for production on May 3, 1962 (03E) and was ordered by a Ford dealer through the Memphis, Tennessee District Sales Office (63). It has a 3.00:1 rear axle ratio (1) and Cruise-O-Matic transmission. This Thunderbird has been documented by the VTCI and by William Wonder. As of January, 2003 its status was unknown. UPDATE September 2024, Steve Hewitt reports it is for sale in Michigan, in a considerable state of needing to be put back together.
