This is a 1962 Thunderbird Sports Roadster. It is Diamond Blue (N) with a blue leather interior (82). According to William Wonder, this Thunderbird was sold new by Atkinson and Williams, Inc., in Lorain, Ohio. He also states that it was reportedly purchased by a terminal manager of the company who shipped new cars from the Ford plant. It does not have SelectAire Conditioner. In 1990, this car was documented by the Vintage Thunderbird Club International as being owned by Joe Mayer of Vermillion, Ohio. The present status of RN 1866 is unknown. + + + + + + UPDATE November 2024, Steve Hewitt notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird. He purchased it from the family of the late Joe Mayer.
