The former owner of this 1979 Thunderbird tells us that as of November 2023 it is in Nebraska being offered at an auction. UPDATE August 2024, Christopher Propst says: I bought it from auction in November of 2023 from orginal owner's family after he passed away; it is an Iowa car, sold new at Wymans Ford in Griswold, Iowa. According to the Marti Report, it is 1 of 1849 made for 1979 - Burnt Orange Metallic Glow paint with Sport Décor package. It is all orginal with 80k miles. I own and drive it every so often. I have all paperwork including the assembly line Quality Control punch card. It is currently in shenandoah valley virginia. It does not see wet or salty roads. It is in very good condition for being all orginal. Interior is like brand new off show room floor. The paint has some thin spots here and there and some rock chips on it. I have no plans on a repaint, just a high end detail paint correction and ceramic coating. It runs and drives like new.
