Mike Carosella says: The original owner moved to California in 1955 and purchased my car new in 1957. Upon retiring, he returned to New York State in 2005. The car was never registered or driven in New York. I purchased the car in 2010 as part of an estate sale. I am part owner of a collision shop in Niagara Falls, NY and am in the process of a frame off restoration. The frame and drive train have been reworked, not much to do, remember it was in california for 48 years and never in NY winter road salt. It did have the usual bumps and dings, with only one bad area, the passenger front head light area. I located a gentleman in my area who has many NOS parts and purchased parts to repair the front end. The body is close to being finish painted and assembly will start 2nd week of August. UPDATE August 2014, Jim Moe spotted it at car show in Buffalo, NY. (picture added) UPDATE September 2017, New York State DMV registration is in force. UPDATE July 2024, it will be offered at the Mecum auction in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
