Glen Hockenjos reports: This 1956 Thunderbird was mentioned in the "Lost Thunderbirds 2011" section on page #5 in the Sept-Oct 2011 edition of Early Bird Magazine. Former owner Tim Roden of California was looking for its past history. UPDATE June 2024, Tim Roden says: As a previous owner, I would like to add some more information about this 56 Thunderbird. I purchased this Thunderbird on March 1, 1969, from a gentleman named David Rodat in Winneconne, Wisconsin. My brother and I towed this car home to Fond du Lac, WI as it was not running. The attached photo was taken on that date. For a car only being 13 years old it was in really rough shape. I paid $375 for the car.
I was only 20 years old and did not have the skills or tools to restore this car. I sold it a year and a half later to a fellow name Hackbarth from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The hard top was missing, and a lot of other parts were missing as well. I heard that someone spotted this car in the Milwaukee area in 1980's. Other than that, there is no information available of where this car is today. (picture added)
