Intact, likely mis-identified
This is a 1962 Thunderbird Convertible. It is Rangoon Red (J) with a black vinyl interior (56). It was scheduled for production on September 29, 1961 (29J). It was seen at the BMC sale in Minnesota in October, 2001. UPDATE June 2017, Cody Burch reports it is for sale in Malibu, California. No documentation on it being a Sports Roadster was provided, however it is being described that way. This car does meet VIN, date, color, and trim criteria for early Sports Roadsters. (picture added) (status 11 - likely misidentifed [as a Convertible]) UPDATE April 2018 its status and location are unchanged.
