Robert Kuri's 1989 Thunderbird was built in Mexico and has a Mexican-style VIN/data plate. Robert says: I am the second owner, since February 1994, still doing some restoration and in need of some advice and pictures to correct things that are misplaced or missing. The car runs very well and looks very nice, but still has many flaws. The original color was light gold (for lack of a better term) but referred to as "sand" but was painted red at the Ford dealer by the first owner. That red was available only on the SC version but this is the LS or LX (didn't have a plate back then here in Mexico) normally aspirated V6. The engine has always been a nightmare though, poor lubrication veins led to build-up and major failure once, and has since had issues. I guess that's why it was later changed to the V8…
