This 1956 Thunderbird was documented by the owner in the May-June 1998 issue of Early Bird magazine. Ramon Rodriguez Sobero of Mexico City, Mexico owns this Thunderbird that was purchased by his father from a rancher near Morelia, Mexico for $127. The rancher had been given the car, including the original ownership papers, by an American. However, since the rancher had no use for such a vehicle on his ranch he pulled it aside and used it for a chicken house! Ramon has restored the car which features a standard transmission with overdrive, power steering, power brakes, power windows and two tops. The original Ford dealer is reported to be Vehiculos Internationales, SA (Mexico City) with a purchase date of May 22, 1956.
