This 2002 Thunderbird was sold at the RM Vintage Motor Cars of Meadow Brook Auction (Lot #270) for $50,600 in August 2009.
This Thunderbird is the second chassis number for this year(chassis Number One is on display at the Henry Ford Museum), and today, it is offered in virtual showroom new condition with only 42.2 miles on the clock. In fact, it has never left the garage of the owner since it was transported by truck from the dealer in Chelsea, Michigan. It retains all of the original factory-applied sales stickers as well as the original plastic upholstery covers. It has benefited from careful storage and periodic start-ups ever since. The original hard top is covered and mounted on a stand next to the car and will accompany this Thunderbird in its sale.
