Ed Lachner says: This fine "66" was purchased new on November 29, 1965 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at Healy Motor Limited (I have the bill of sale) for a price of $6903.00. It was originally owned by Frederick Banks. The car shared its time in Alberta, Ontario and Saskatchewan. In 1987 the car was completly restored and put away until the orginal owner passed on in July of 2003. It was put up for sale in a closed auction. I found out about it and went to is the "little jewel", in Turtleford, Saskatchewan. As soon has I noticed it sported the #100008, I knew I had to have it. On February 14,2004 I was informed of being ithe highest bidder and became the second owner of the Silver Mink T-Bird. It was taken out of storage, a complete brake job was done, gas drained from the tank, and a new battery installed. I hit the starter and away it came back to life, it has been "purring" since.
This Thunderbird has the lowest consecutive unit number that is known to exist or that has been documented as of August 24, 2004.
