This 1955 Thunderbird is part of the not-yet-documented "first 1000" VIN list. The gathering of information about this Thunderbird is of top priority to the Registry. UPDATE September 2012, this Thunderbird has been documented. Dennis Dole reports it was offered for sale by Great Deals on Wheels in Michigan City, Indiana. It is red with a red and white interior. It is equipped with a 3-speed manual transmission and full power options. It does not have a top. (status changed from 99 to 10, picture added) UPDATE April 2013 it was for sale on ebay and was located in a restoration shop in Indianapolis, IN. The condition of the car has changed dramatically. A complete restoration has been started and the car is partially dissasembled. The restoration shop reports finding extensive rust and a seized engine.
