John G. Kvinge says: My 1955 Thunderbird was brought to Norway (from USA) in 1990. It is under restoration (almost finished) and in good condition, but the former owner has removed the original seat and replaced it with two single seats (rebuilt Mustang-seats in "Thunderbird-style"). I have the original seat/frame/switches, but the motors/relays/wiring for the power seat are missing. Also the engine is unoriginal; it's a Ford 302 ci with a C4 transmission (both 1968 Mustang). The original Fordomatic transmission is reconditioned, and when I have finisihed restoring the 292 ci engine, the unoriginal engine/transmission will be replaced (although they make a fantastic "power plant" for this car…… but they are not original) The original interior color was black/white, but is now red/white. It has been converted to a 12-volt electrical system. I will come back with more pictures when the car is "finished" !
